Diya is an alumni of University College London and Mass Communication Research Centre (MCRC), Jamia. She has worked as a television documentary producer with Times Now and as a senior journalist with Times of India – covering human interest and unique development stories. Currently, Diya works in the international development sector as a communication expert. Part of her work is to use films and shorts to regularly highlight the debates in the development sector. She has been a recipient of a number of research and creative fellowships such as Charles Wallace, Art Think South Asia, ASHA-STANDFORD & UNDP Human Development Media Fellowship. Diya likes to travel, do portrait photography, spend time with her dog/s, and use the social media to channelize meaningful discussions and fight misogyny.
